BLS ambulances are staffed by (2) EMT’s and provide transports for patients who require basic medical monitoring.
Patients who require BLS transporation may include:
- Lower extremity fractures
- Discharges to home and sub-acute care facilities (nursing homes)
- Medical and surgical patients who do not require cardiac monitoring
- Psychiatric patients

Things to know about Bariatric transportation
- Bariatric transportation requires specialty equipment to keep our patients comfortable and safe.
- Our staff is experienced and knowledgeable in in providing care for the specific needs of our bariatric patients.
- Obese patients are at a higher risk of hypertension and heart failure. Thus, our medical staff is aware of this fact and are extensively trained in responding to such emergencies

Planning and Staging
Antelope Ambulance works with event organizers, city or town officials and other public safety agencies to create special event plans prior to the event. Plans will address the type of venue, number of individuals expected to be in attendance, geographical social and seasonal considerations, local EMS capabilities, and access, egress, and staging of EMS resources.
